Amika was born and raised in Orange County, California always surrounded by the arts. Influenced by her father’s passion for performing arts, Amika’s love for dance began at an early age. You would often catch her following along dance moves in front of the TV or backstage at one of her fathers’ rehearsals, absorbing as much as she could. She began her Kathak dance training with Guru Punam Kumar at the age of seven.  Amika continues to pursue her passion for dance by assisting in choreography for both Kathak and Bollywood fusion pieces. Dancing makes her feel free, happy, and connected to her Indian roots. Amika has an affection for video editing, music editing, photography, and all things creative, and SADC brings them all together.

Amika graduated from Chapman University in 2015 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology. She is now working as a Senior Payroll Analyst in Orange County, CA. In her free time, she constantly craves learning new skills, traveling with her husband, and tasting the flavors of the world.
